“YOU LOVE TO HATE”

ARTISTS ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT SOURCE MATERIAL (I.E. POSTERS, STENCILS, STICKERS, SILK SCREENS, ETC) TO BE USED IN THE CREATION OF AN 8′ X 30′ COLLAGE STYLE STREET ART MURAL. IN ADDITION, SELECTED ARTISTS ARE ASKED TO SUBMIT 2-4 ORIGINAL PIECES WHICH WILL BE INSTALLED ON TOP OF THIS COLLAGE STYLE MURAL. THIS WILL BE THE BACKDROP TO THE EXHIBITION ITSELF.

OUTSIDE OF THE 8′ X 30′ MURAL, 8 ARTISTS WILL CREATE 1 8′X8′ PANEL EACH. THESE PANELS WILL BE SIMILAR TO THE LARGER MURAL, BUT WILL ONLY CONSIST OF ONE ARTISTS WORK PER PANEL.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR BOLD, GRAPHICAL WORKS OF ANY SCALE. THE WORKS SUBMITTED CAN BE COLOR OR BLACK AND WHITE, AND SHOULD BE SENT IN SMALL BULK AMOUNTS IN ORDER TO WALL PAPER THE MURAL WITH ARTWORKS. WE WILL ACCEPT ANY WORK THAT FITS THE STYLE AND CAN BE PERMANENTLY INSTALLED TO THE PIECE.

ATTACHED IS AN IMAGE OF A SIMILAR MURAL (8′ X 16′) THAT WAS CREATED IN 2004 BY DUSTIN ORLANDO, FRANCESCO LO CASTRO, ROCKY GRIMES, BOOKS|||, AND 4 OTHER ARTISTS.

IN ADDITIONAL TO THE SENSORY OVERLOAD, OF MASSIVE SCALE MURALS, AND ART SURFACES, THERE WILL BE A FASHION SHOW ASPECT TO THE EXHIBITION.

INDEPENDENT FASHION DESIGNERS AND ART INFLUENCED BRANDS WILL BE SHOWCASED IN A RUNWAY STYLE FASHION SHOW ORGANIZED BY LOCAL INDEPENDENT DESIGNER AND BOUTIQUE OWNER, KATIE REYNOLDS OF ETOILE BOUTIQUE, AND WILL INCLUDE THE HELP OF DESIGNER BOUTIQUE BETA, SKATEBOARD OWNED AND OPERATED SKATE SHOP COVERT, AND THE SUPER STYLISH STAFF AT ALCHEMY HAIR SALON.

SOME OF THE BRANDS FEATURED IN THE FASHION SHOW WILL INCLUDE:
NIKE SB | SUPRA | KREW | 10DEEP | MISHKA | IF YOU NASTY VINTAGE | CROOKS & CASTLES | A RARE BIRD | AND MORE.

THE EXHIBITION WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY APRIL 12TH,2008 FROM 8PM-2AM AND WILL BE HELD INSIDE THE SAY IT LOUD DESIGN STUDIO, LOCATED AT 1211 N.MILLS AVE. IN ORLANDO FL.

Art Basel debauchery & SpiderPussy this Tuesday.

Another interesting week we begin. Art Basel was amazing great art, great people, and amazing parties.

We started off on Wednesday by going to the Miami Beach art photo expo at The Surfcomber hotel and saw some amazing photos. Go here to see more about it http://www.artphotoexpo.com

After the Fashion expo, we stopped by Concrete waves: Homage to Skate Culture, and the Art Position courtyard and containers, and saw some really cool art work. We walked on to the beach for the free IGGY POP concert to see him perform live. It was insanely WICKED, for those of you who didn’t get to see the show, you missed out. After that we stopped by Sky Bar at the Shore Club, The Raleigh Hotel and ended up at Rokbar for Le Baron party, that’s where the debauchery began!

On Thursday we went to the Design District to check out some galleries then over to Wynwood for the Map Magazine party which was good times. After that we all headed over to Sky bar to see our friend Tommy Rick Dj, and then over to the Delano where we saw Paris Hilton getting tipsy in the club LOL. It was time to move on to the next adventure so we headed over to SET where we bumped in to http://www.lastnightsparty.com and got wasted at random tables where bottles were pouring. When we got over SET we walked outside where there was a random limo from Red Light District that offered about 15 of us a ride over to Suite where we had a table with our friend Max from Arrive. From that point on I blacked out and can’t remember anything else.

On Friday we woke up and went over to the Fendi House for Brunch then to check out more Design District and Wynwood events. Later that night we went to check out Mstrkft and LA Riot at Pawn Shop.

Saturday we went to the convention center and spent most of the day there to soak up all the art. Then that night we went to Studio A to see Moby and Princess Superstar perform, after that everyone from Studio A went to the White Room for Poplife, even MOBY. To end the night we went to PS14.

For the last night of Art Basel we caught some art work at the RED DOT with different artist from all over the country. And to end the week off we went to ROKBAR where Justice was doing a secret DJ appearance. DAM it was FUN till next year.

This Tuesday, Dec 11th we have a special band play for us LIVE, Junior Revolution. Come by your going to like them.
